A Short Thought on Sobering Reality

I’m not interested in fear-mongering about world events.

But I have been speculating about where we might be headed for the past year.

Recently, I mentioned I believe the government has intelligence that the common person does not have, and that is why this current conflict has erupted.

With Iran targeting Diego Garcia, we have full confirmation that Iran has MRBMs that can reach Europe. They have also reserved the right to hit tourist spots around the world (1). Does this mean they have ICBMs, too?

Turns out the Department of War and the current administration, in partnership with Israel, were correct to attack them.

You don’t wait for the enemy to have nukes before taking their capabilities out. Imagine Paris being bombed to oblivion (which can still happen without nukes with this recent development).

The other issue is the Strait of Hormuz, which has not only been mined but threatened with permanent closure in response to the current administration’s threats to attack Iran's power grid if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened within the deadline.

As someone who feels for the civilians in Iran, I don’t like the pressure Trump is putting on the regime with that threat, if I’m being honest.

But still, this war has the capability to spiral out of control. There are currently 20 nations affected by this conflict, meaning the potential for a WWIII scenario is highly likely.

We shouldn’t panic or fear these developments. But the sobering reality is that apocalyptic terrorists have MRBMs capable of reaching Europe. NATO needs to get involved to put an end to this threat faster, or we’re in for some crazy, hellish times.

Another thing I want to briefly touch on is the attitude some people have toward our service members in uniform.

They are not brainwashed by Israel or “dying for Israel.” They volunteered and sacrificed having a civilian life to protect their nation (the United States of America).

Our interests, along with Israel’s, align here. That’s the end.

People should respect those who put their lives on the line for security and peace in this world. They gave up their normal lives so that you can have yours.

Sometimes that peace requires war to help stabilize it for extended periods.

These new developments—if I’m being honest with my feelings on them—are highly alarming.

I’m certainly no geopolitical expert, but this Iran war could escalate and turn hotter at any time.

There seems to be a conflicting reality with what we’re being told by the DOW, and what is happening with Iran in actuality.

I don’t think WWIII is going to look like the last two world wars, and we might live in the times that historians will look back on as the early stage of the third global conflict in action a hundred years from now.

Pray for the troops. Pray for our leaders to use wisdom and to care for the innocent, oppressed people in Iran.

May God be with us as we navigate a troubling time.

Shalom.
