The Vision Requires Every Detail

I’m a writer who loves to do everything himself, and while that might make me the nerdiest of all nerds, I believe in fulfilling my vision the way I see things.

But I commission artists for book covers for my light-novel series because I know my limits.

I will reveal the cover for The Noted Colors of Silver Wings, Orchestrylus Odyssey Session 03 in February of next year. This novel will have a distinct style for the key art from a talented artist who impressed me with their work.

I’m going for a more storybook-style aesthetic with future light novels (not shown here in Tenoria’s galaxy brain ambitions for ascension) so that art looks as though it is on the pages of an ancient book.

I will release one or two light novels (the length of full novels) in this series for the next ten years, so that my series will be finished by 2037. I will be forty-seven then, but that’s fine with me.

If I’m able to get a traditional publisher interested in the series, then I’ll recalibrate my plans to align with that business model. But I want to release the first three light novels to set the story up past the Treblesong story arc, with the next novel after the third taking place on Verdisti, the next sphere in the Orchestrylus Array. I will commission or make my own map of each of the spheres, which will take me about six months or so to complete.

Even the winged sphere, Musika Eyn Soph, will have landmasses on the feathers of its wings, so it will be a distinctive world to envision in map form.

It’s the weirdest world I’ve ever created, with an array of spheres the size of Earth forming a diagonally vertical array with a winged sphere at the top of it.

My characters will also get new outfits as the series progresses. Stanzielle’s half-coat is inspired by punk/ska color profiles, and the balance between light and darkness. Violeste’s uniform is far more regal than that, inspired by perfectionist music teachers and their emphasis on correct form.

Not every symphonist coat looks the same due to the different combat units on each sphere, or even as local as countries.

Both these ladies will evolve their outfits as the stories move forward, and the guys will too.

I want this story to be grand in scope and to include different arcs, with some having newer casts, yet always having Stanzielle play a role in the narrative.

The Nine Golden Masks will be the secondary antagonists of the series, with Diminished Seventh’s goal of helping the spheres to have true equality and lack of need being the driving force the party opposes.

They don’t wear literal gold masks apart from Strumestia Harpscythe’s butterfly mask, but the name of the group reflects their status as the most powerful symphonists.

There is an air of mystery to these people as well.

Why do they have instruments mixed with weapons when every other character uses only instruments?

What is their interest in the psychological aspects of the party?

Why do the Euphonious Phoenixes trust them to carry out their tasks?

My ambition for this story goes beyond the macro and into the quantum, because I want it to be a breathing world that might exist out there in the multiverse.

Keep your vision alive no matter what.
