Positive Gratitude Without Fear
With all the shocking news going around the world right now, how might one stay positive considering recent and future events that don’t look positive in the slightest?
Staying grateful for what you have in your life is paramount to keeping a healthy mind and mindset.
There’s nothing wrong with keeping up with world events, and as Christians we should always watch the world stage in some capacity.
But it isn’t healthy to focus only on the negative news we hear.
Adopt a puppy.
See the universe in the glint of an infant’s eyes.
The world God created has some negative aspects due to our original parents’ sins, so it won’t be perfect. But we have a beautiful world that God made just for us to enjoy and experience.
When you feel loved by another human—whether that means romantically or platonically—the feeling is unlike any other.
Humans are made to love and be loved.
Nothing will replace human-to-human interaction.
AI keeps people busy in ways that frankly freak me out.
An algorithm is not alive.
But if one is an introvert, then, of course, if God wired you that way, you don’t need interaction all the time.
But living in a crazy time, it helps to have something.
A kind word.
A fleeting gesture that brightens another’s day.
Treating your employees with kindness and not being a harsh master.
Loving your children with the true intention and guiding them the right way.
These things keep us grateful.
We have many blessings in the nation I live in, the USA, and I don’t take any of them for granted.
Praying for other people to have blessings and positive events is one way we can help others we might not even know.
We don’t know what battles someone else is fighting.
If you can offer just a hint of light, a heart might change and see the light themselves.
A negative world situation doesn’t mean we panic or fear the future.
These are the times we need to brighten the world the most.
Our God has history in control, but He also has our lives in His hands.
Yahweh is ruling the cosmos simultaneously as He’s guiding human history—and worried about every life He has created.
Isn’t that something that makes you shine so brightly?
He has giant galaxies with trillions of stars He watches over, but He’s concerned with every detail of your life.
Your love life.
Your family life.
Your career and money.
All of it is important to Him.
What a loving God we serve!
If the Creator of the Universe is concerned with your life in that manner, doesn’t that make you light up with confidence and positive emotions?
Let’s put aside the worry.
Let’s toss left-wing and right-wing politics to the wayside to understand each other better.
We are all people at the end of each day.
Breathe, relax, and focus on the positive emotions, whether that’s one you hold on to, or many.
When a volcano erupts, the resulting ash eventually nourishes the soil enough for fresh growth.
Forget the world for a bit and just let the Creator love you and truly feel it.
His arms are there to catch you.
Shalom.
