Love Others Even When Hard
The world can be as tipsy as a few too many shots of whiskey lately.
There are political divides among those who wouldn’t normally find themselves entangled in such things.
I saw another author say that people (specifically authors) were only into the current buzzwords and topics because it would help sell more books.
I don’t think politics needs to be involved to sell books or not sell them.
The world is on fire, and we don’t want to play with that fire or play the game if we don’t need to.
I spoke up about current events because that was my thinking on those subjects.
But, no, I will not be going on political tirades for the rest of my career.
I think we must stay positive despite the ongoing events in the world today.
On my faith section of my site, I do an admittedly biased take on certain things.
If I’m reporting on something, I won’t inject opinion into it as much as possible.
Sometimes it might seem negative, or that I don’t have a positive outlook.
I see things as they are, meaning I won’t stick my head in the sand.
But, truthfully speaking, I think staying positive and affirmative of emotions that build us up is the way to go.
Having a cheerful outlook versus always worrying about things are diametrically opposed to each other.
My stance on life is to focus on the positive emotions and events that we have, whether they come from music, books, or going to a mountaintop and viewing the city from high above.
Instead of calling the “other side” an enemy, learn to understand why they view things the way they do.
I hate seeing leftists and those on the right attack each other. The far left and common sense seem to have little in common these days, with people such as shoeonhead speaking some common sense from that leftist angle.
Let’s love each other enough to see that we’re people.
I stand for biblical values, but that doesn’t mean ignoring the other side and why they might feel that way.
Where is the love Jesus taught us to keep toward others?
I find many conservatives lack this attribute in favor of feeling that they are above the left because of biblical principles.
I’m not saying to avoid the plain teachings of Scripture, but rather that Jesus hung out with those many believed unworthy.
He might hang out with a blue-haired stereotype over a Republican candidate.
Jesus walked among sex workers, Samaritans, and the deformed.
I believe in having such empathy.
But let’s not attack each other anymore.
Stay focused and positive in your interactions with others and watch it bloom instead of wither.
Let’s not dog on people and call them Nazis because they believe in keeping law and order.
Let’s not attack people who aren’t attracted to the opposite sex, because even the brutal ancient world knew people weren’t always congruent with traditional structures.
There are so many debates and examples of outliers in society in places like the Talmud.
Those manly-men, burly Romans, understood eunuchs and the like weren’t always attracted to women. Even early Christian writings prove the station of eunuchs who didn’t like women.
Conservatism isn’t always correct when it comes to the Bible, and many of those people would kick people like Abraham and David out of modern churches.
But simultaneously, we can’t be so far left that we avoid plain teachings.
Balance and understanding are key to staying positive despite differing opinions.
Think about the good things in life.
The love you cherish, the grass you can touch at any time, and the differences of opinion we all have.
We are not better than the other side; we just need to find common ground with the Bible in mind.
Of course, this means not yielding what the Bible plainly states.
We’re all people, though.
Let’s treat each other as such, even in challenging times.
Blessings and shalom to you.
Love is the highest law of all.
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the blessings of life. Dance if you must. We’ve got so much that’s in common with others than differences.
Sometimes you just need to take it in and vibe a bit.
