Dating a Robot?! Can I Introduce You to Humanity’s Intended Path?
All right.
Let’s be perfectly transparent here.
What in the hell is going on with people dating robots?!
I saw news that China has a robotic intimacy and AI problem.
Well, we’ve witnessed an AI problem all over the globe if we’re in tune with the advancements in the AI sphere.
Blessedly, laws are being passed to differentiate AI-created content with watermarks, saving some industries heading toward doom (minus the construction companies using robotic trucks instead of people).
But my concern lies with the prevalence of men in Asian countries increasingly moving toward having their loneliness cured with high-tech idols of the modern age.
Wouldn’t you rather be alone than with a machine that has no soul? Humanity will never cease to amaze me in its sinful condition.
God did not create us to be alone, and while ultimate value (especially for women) is not necessarily found in having children, one of the Bible’s first commands is to fill the Earth and multiply.
More than that, though, is the statement God makes about the creation of Homo sapiens.
“Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him’” (Genesis 2:18 [ESV]).
God created women to be companions, and both sexes find their counterpart match in each other.
Having a robot, though? That isn’t it, chief.
I can’t help but find Paul’s words in Romans 1 adequate to the situation:
“…because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen” (Romans 1:25 [ESV]).
In humanity’s self-worship (not that all atheists do this), they have found companionship in things that were never meant to offer it.
Metals and minerals are malleable, able to be shaped into computers and iPhones.
But those same materials from the physical creation are now being used to create images of mankind to replace women.
While I understand the dating world out there is difficult at this time, does it truly make sense to have zero positive pride in yourself and seek after idols?
This isn’t like the stories you hear about parasocial weirdos who can’t accept someone has a life outside of their online persona (looking at the VTuber space). This is far, far worse. At least those people are … oh … I don’t know, real people who are working in their field.
Robots are not to replace humans. But even when I look at end-times prophecies, the world seems to have this issue (Image of the Beast [if that’s what it is]).
From biblical wisdom, seeking a partner isn’t a question of tropes and caricatures of what the world is like out there in 2026. Seek the LORD first, and He will add to you a match from heaven in the timing He desires for it to happen.
If you think it’s too hard as a man, then man up and solve the problem as you should. That’s my blunt opinion, but that is what it is. Have some standards for a woman and have something to offer, but don’t complain that fictional giga-Chad is the problem. Tropes are not reality. Biblical masculinity means avoiding complaining and solving the dilemmas of the modern world. Don’t be a deadbeat, as those are just lazy bones without life to give.
When God questioned Job, He told Job to prepare himself as a man and answer. So, do likewise and walk in that purpose planned for you by the Creator. He made you a man, not a woman. Making excuses for why you’re not getting anywhere is what losers do. Solve the problem, guys.
From the biblical perspective for women, there’s nothing wrong with having standards as long as you realize you should also bring things to the table and just the fact that you’re a woman doesn’t add any value to a potential partner besides the intrinsic value of a human soul manifested in the feminine. The proverbial 6,6,6 ridiculous and trope idea loses all meaning when the trade is 0,0,0.
I’m not a fan of this line of thinking, but it must be said.
Read Proverbs 31 and embody those qualities. He made you a woman, not a man. Your soul is expressed through the feminine side of the duality of humans. God didn’t make a mistake.
Both genders should work hard and bring light into this world with their particular gifts.
Chasing after robots is not the way to be. Robots have a place in helping us build in our modern society in many ways, but the equivalent of marrying a kitchen table is disturbing.
I’ll be blunt when I must be. Sometimes loving others means being tough to push them forward from mediocrity into something worth its value.
God made us male and female, so we don’t need robotic falsities to stand in for each other.
If your particular soul doesn’t fit into those binaries or deviates from this, then my little sliver of advice is the same. Seek God’s intention, not shells that lack ghosts in the first place.
Blessings and shalom to you, and may you be increased in all you put your hand to (hopefully not a robot).
