Q2 2026 to Q1 2027 Plans

Planning the year can drive a man near mad,

But there are many goals to still be had.

The whispers of the future echo still,

My work continues in the endless field.

My plans for Q2 2026 are to release my next Orchestrylus Odyssey novel at the end of May and to shadow drop D65 between now and May 1st. This will be the second full-length novel in the series, The Voided Promises of Noble Songs. D65 is a wacky novel about a murderous ISF calibrator who kills his victims based on not adhering to creative intent in media. I’ve never seen a story like that before, so I thought it’d be a fun one to try.

I’m releasing Crown of the Orphic Queen on Saturday, April 4th, 2026. Technically, that makes it a Q2 release, but it’s the Sabbath and I’ll have the day available after a busy week. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This novel is based on a modern take on the Persephone story, but minus the weird bits of Orphic lore with Zeus. Zeus will be in the novel, but there will be a second character named Zeus as well to stir attention away from the, uh, interesting aspects of the Orphic take. This will be a creative spin, even though I believe in staying true to the primary sources as much as one can.

Last year, I took a do-the-best-you-are-able-to approach to writing, so my goal is to write four books a year for my own art at a minimum. My original plan of a book a month wasn’t putting my best writing forward. I believe in being a lyrical prose sculptor that sculpts faster than writing a book in a decade.

Still, I’ll drop books out of nowhere as well. Writers are always working on something. Even books I don’t have listed on my site.

Writing is the one thing I don’t tire of. No matter how much of it I do.

Sitting in a room and creating worlds and characters is one of the best things ever.

By 2032, I want to have written 50 novels.

I truly believe each novel we write as authors is practice for the next one, and there’s always room to grow, improving prose, description, and even the aesthetic of how each paragraph looks on the page.

God has given me the gift of writing, so I will use it for His glory. But that doesn’t mean honing it like a sword in the forge isn’t required to improve it.

Work and talent must go together.

In Q3 2026, I will shadow drop another one or two novels, but they aren’t listed as my main four for the year. I had originally intended that quarter for going overdrive in nonfiction work alone, but fiction can be squeezed in here and there.

My portfolio also looks snazzier now, so I used the first page of it on my freelance page as a header for services that introduces me the way clients see it and not like on my homepage as an author.

The last quarter will see the release of The Candle’s Edge: In Lunar Glass. I will try to squeeze in the Lowella remake into this year, but I will see if it works out.

I always try to separate the finished product from the writing, but I love the writing process more than the product side, if I’m honest.

I love seeing a book in its final form, though.

Early 2027 will see the release of the next full-length book in the Occultus Ecclesia saga, Criminous.

It’s going to be a busy rest of the year, but I’m extremely happy so far with how things are turning out in my life and art.

Happy writing!
