Life, Why Must You Happen?

I made the mistake of releasing around the holidays last year, and I won’t be making that mistake again. There is way too much going on in my life to make this book release on time with the proper care. I’m starting to realize why artists delay for months out and not a week. My heart may be heavy about this, but I promise if you wait a little longer the book will be simmering hot and ready for readers who like a bit of simmering romance from people who hate each other.

One long delay, but one amazing book are in store for you.

Crown of the Orphic Queen will release Valentine’s Day Week, following January’s The Voided Promises of Noble Songs.

I’m still trying to get the hang of this author thing, and rushed content is not good.

If you’ll offer me the grace of patience, I promise the book will be worth it.

No changes are planned for Numinous: The Golden Tunists except for the cover. No delays necessary there, I promise (and yes, that’s a real promise).

To be frank, with the way the algorithms work and working on multiple books at once, I’ve taken on quite a bit.

I'm moving toward a hybrid model where I release when things are ready or out-of-nowhere releases.

I'm divorcing myself from rigidity for more flexibility as an artist.

I must write for clients with top performance, too, and you can’t delay those.

Here’s a little update from the school student council newsletter:

Dear Elysia High Students,

The upcoming chronicle between Seph Flammguarde and Hadrian Hiltfire will not be released on the projected timeline designated by the author. Hadrian said, and I quote, “This draft is unworthy, tarnishing my legacy, and my physical prowess. You’d better write it correctly or I’ll kidnap you (not that I get to do that in this book, but still).” Then he smirked like the smug b*stard he is.

The lunar cycles will continue to churn onward, peaking in February and the timing will be just right. Seph Flammguarde might not care to hear what he’d say, but we thought you might.

Thank you for your patience as we get this novel in good working order, and play nice with the algorithms, the bane of every content creator. Not to mention refining the prose until it’s white-hot (yep, we’re going there) and ready-to-go.

You don’t have to worry about the next Occultus Ecclesia novel, as that will release the day before the last day of the year.

Be on the lookout for shadow drops, too!

By the order of Melin Regale of the Elysia High Student Council

"The Birds of Death Fly Far from Home.”

I truly don’t like doing this, but even though my writerly heart doesn’t want to take it, I will have a freer schedule and more spread-out releases this way.

This one is a fun book, I promise!
